One can only hope that the remainder of the beats on the LP are just as good of a quality as the one in the promotional video above. A chilling, sinister vibe runs through your veins as you witness J.Rocc being who he is; a quirky, eccentric individual who just happens to be a world class dj. His ventures with the World Famous Beat Junkies gained him outstanding notoriety in the underground hip hop realm. He's recently teamed up with Peanut Butter Wolf, Madlib, Mayer Hawthorne, and the rest of the Stones Throw camp on what some would call the most out there musical journeys in history. J.Rocc is well known for his tricks on the turntables as well as being an extremely versed MC, so I'd make sure not to sleep on this album.

Planets Viewed From Earth As If They Were At The Distance Of Our Moon

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1Yi58jtNdY

Imagine waking up in the middle of the night to walk your dog, stepping outside, and seeing the face of Jupiter light up the evening sky. There are a slew of words to describe such an experience, but the one that stands out the most is "fascinating". Of course, over time you'd get used to the glow of Neptune or Venus and it would cease to be as awesome. Although the gravitational pull alone would keep such a phenomenon from happening without collision, the thought of any celestial body other than the moon being that close to us stirs up a feeling of smallness. Jupiter alone could house anywhere from 1,000 to 1,300 Earths. That's like having a bowling ball revolve around a marble; the marble being where you reside. If that isn't food for thought, grab a sandwich.

Multiverse

Multiverse Doppelgangers: Do Many Versions of You Exist?

Whenever I think on this subject I'm always reminded of a scene from Six Feet Under.  Nate, the main character, falls asleep and has a bevy of dreams where in each he resides in an alternate universe.  He's still the same person, but each universe is in the middle of a different scenario.  By this principle the fact that I am typing this in this universe would mean that I am doing something completely "irrelevant" in another; all the while existing simultaneously.  The Hindus believe that the world and the universe is an acting or playing out of the Brahman.  The Multiverse would be that act on a much grander scale.

HOW & NOSM.

"Generations"
by
HOW & NOSM

How & Nosm are twin graffiti artists from Spain.  They gained stateside notoriety through meeting and working with world renowned graffiti crew TATS.  While possessing the ability to do complex graffiti pieces, they are best known for their minimalist use of black, white, and red in their compositions.  Astonishing detail along with esoteric narratives make for paintings that have you staring for a while before you recognize the first character.  Amidst the surreal demeanor of each concept lies something that connects you with the characters; as if you're being compelled to empathize with their situation.  I'm curious to see what their influence has on the next generation of painters.
